The wood is Walnut, sanded inside and outside to 1200 grit, no stain, coated with a paste wax, and buffed to a satin finish that will last a lifetime.

I call this a hollow form because unlike a common bowl, this lip is greatly undercut, so it approaches more of a hollow form or vessel than a bowl. The return lip also makes it easier to pick up.
