This piece is made of Figured Maple which means there is a changing grain pattern with changing viewing angles. It is 6 inches in diameter and sanded to 1200 grit, coated with a paste wax, and buffed to a satin finish that will endure a lifetime of handling.

This piece of artwork is really simple looking but complex in the pyrography layout. Image if you just started out woodburning around the bowl and came back around to the starting point and the twist met perfectly...that will not happen!...unless you have thought about the design and divided the circumference into the correct number of segments before you start.
