This is a solid Maple Step Stool in the shape of a heart. It stands 12 inches high.

My wife wanted a step stool to extend her reach, but rather than turn a round top, I decide to surprise her with one of her favorite shapes, a heart.

The challenge was making the 3 legs identical. That was time consuming - in and out of the lathe, back and forth, until they were all the same. After this art piece, I've decided I am not a spindle turner.

I left the top massive to match the legs.
